![]() Also, if nothing else is going on, like a baseline drift, the rating value of 0 is equivalent over any timescale within the same season. ![]() For instance, a minimum value loss that knocks you from 33% to 32% at time T will leave you with a similar rating, within one minimum loss value, as a 33%-32% loss several hours later. Under the assumption that the #1500 rating does not change wildly over a few hours in the middle of the month when there are well over 1500 players, it’s possible to benchmark a rating without seeing it directly. ![]() Deranking to absurdly low levels let me run several experiments. Thankfully, this guess turned out to be correct. I hoped that the minimum win/loss would be quantized at a useful level once the rating difference got big enough, and if true, it would allow me to probe the algorithm. I’ve decided to structure this as a journal-of-my-exploration style post, so it’s clear why it was necessary to do what I was doing if I wanted to get the information that WotC has continually failed to provide for years. Scroll down- way down- to the Problems section if you want to skip how I wasted too much of my time. The explanations for what’s actually going on are more technical, and the next couple of sections are going to be a bit dry. The rating system seems to be effectively the same throughout the last couple of weeks of the month, at least in Mythic. As it turns out, neither of those appear to be directly true. Either of these would explain the massive collision of people outside the top-1200, who are playing, into the the people inside the top-1200 who are trying to camp on their rating. calculating the correct rating changes, then giving one or both players a small boost to reward playing). I suspected that WotC might be rigging the rating algorithm as the month progressed, either deliberately increasing variance by raising the K-value of matches or by making each match positive-sum instead of zero-sum (i.e. The actual system does multiple things that are not Glicko and does not do at least one thing that is in Glicko. Glicko is a modification of the old Elo system. The only two pieces of information we have been given are that 1) Mythic Percentile is the percentage (Int(Your Rating/#1500 rating)) of the actual internal rating of the #1500 player. Were clones of the top-600 all sitting around waiting until the last day to make Mythic and kick everybody else out? If they were already Mythic and top-1200 talent level, why weren’t they mostly already rated as such? The decay is also much, much worse than it was in late 2019, and those explanations give no real hint as to why. While both true, neither seemed sufficient to me to explain that level of decay. The canonical explanations were that people were grinding to mythic at the end of the month and that people were playing more in the last couple of days. There’s significant decay in the days leading up to the last day, just not at that level of crazy. These days, a top-600 rating with 24 hours left is insufficient to finish top-1200, and it’s not just a last-day effect. It’s well known that the rank decay near the end of the month in Mythic Constructed is incredibly severe. The change making Gold +2 per win/-1 per loss likely turbocharged the issues from #6.Giving everybody similar initial ratings when they make Mythic leads to issues at the end of the month.Performance before Mythic seems to have only slight impact on where you’re initially placed in Mythic.Early in the month, the system is more complicated. The minimum change in rating is ~5 points in a Bo1 match and ~10 points in a Bo3 match. After convergence, the Bo1 K-value is ~20.5.That comes out to around 11% Mythic later in the month. Expected win% is constrained to a ~25%-~75% range, regardless of rating difference, for both Bo1 and Bo3.There is no detectable Glicko-ness to Mythic constructed ratings in the second half of the month. It’s just as exploitable as you should think it is.There is rating-based pairing in ranked constructed below Mythic (as well as in Mythic). The details are also seriously nerdy, so reading all of this definitely isn’t for everybody. If I get enough data, I can make a rank-decay curve for every rank at once, among other things.īrought to you by the all-time undisputed king of the percent gamersĪpologies for the writing- Some parts I’d written before, some I’m just writing now, but there’s a ton to get out, a couple of necessary experiments weren’t performed or finished yet, and I’m sure I’ll find things I could have explained more clearly. Note: If you’re playing in numbered Mythic Constructed during the rest of May, and/or you’d like to help me crowdsource enough logfiles to get a full picture of the Rank # – Rating relationship during the last week, please visit and DM/share. When maxed out, they add one less Speed point than her Sonic Strikers, but the Feathered Gloves have an exclusive 10 percent ATB charge rate boost. If you want to focus on Tifa’s speed over raw power, go for the Feathered Gloves. Your ATB abilities will be so strong that you won’t even need an offensive Limit Break, so instead use Refocus, which splits your ATB gauge into three bars and hastens the charge rate. This will also bolster the strength of your True Strike and other similar attacks. By using the Metal Knuckles in conjunction with the Supernatural Wristguards, the strength packed in a single hit grows exponentially, making most enemies melt from the pressure of your fists. Tifa’s combat style focuses on Speed/Strength while setting up combos by alternating between her ATB bar-based abilities, basic attacks, and her triangle button attacks (Whirling Uppercut, Omnistrike, Rise and Fall). Materia: Luck Up, HP Up (consider two), ATB Stagger, ATB Boost, Healing+Elemental, Steadfast Block, Refocus.Accessory: Supernatural Wristguards or Transference Module.Weapon: Metal Knuckles or Feathered Gloves. The 2 best Physical Damage builds for Tifa in FF7 Remake Two options focus on dealing Physical damage, while the other leans more into her Magic capabilities. If you’d like a more specific build for her, we’ve crafted three set-ups that include the best weapon, accessory, and Materia to equip. Together, these boosted stats make for a deadly combo. Increasing Tifa’s Speed stat will increase the rate at which her ATB meter charges. She hits foes often, so an increased Luck stat means her hits will be more likely to deal critical damage. Whether you want Tifa to focus on magic or physical damage, her build should follow the same basic rules: Increase her Luck and Speed stats for her to excel in combat. She can easily stagger enemies, making her perfect for setting up your allies to deal larger hits. Use her to deal a lot of damage quickly and to help lock an enemy in place. Tifa's a quick fighter, reliant on combo-ing basic moves into ATB-based abilities. With these roles in mind, how do you improve Tifa’s effectiveness? Here’s how to make Tifa your party’s powerhouse with 3 of her best builds. Everyone has a role in your Final Fantasy VII Remake party: Aerith is your caster, Barret is your distance fighter, Cloud is your vanguard, and Tifa is your DPS. ![]() The Debug Safe Zone mode is on by default in UMG which enables the red "unsafe" zone area to be represented.įor some devices, there are now custom "unsafe" zones represented within the Designer graph. Cytokinesis is the actual splitting of the cell membrane animal cells pinch apart, while plant cells form a cell plate that becomes the new cell wall.During telophase, chromosomes arrive at opposite poles and unwind into thin strands of DNA, the spindle fibers disappear, and the nuclear membrane reappears.During anaphase, sister chromatids physically separate at the centromere and pull towards opposite poles of the cell by the mitotic spindle.During metaphase, sister chromatids align along the middle of the cell by attaching their centromeres to the spindle fibers.During prophase, the nucleus disappears, spindle fibers form, and DNA condenses into chromosomes (sister chromatids).Plant cells divide when new cell wall components lay down in the center of the cell. This region is called the cleavage furrow. Animal cells divide when proteins pinch in the center of the cell until it separates into two. CytokinesisĬytokinesis is the separation of the cytoplasm into two new daughter cells. The next step will separate the cytoplasm into two compartments. nuclear envelope material surrounds each set of chromosomes.chromosomes arrive at opposite poles and begin to condense.“Telo” comes from the Greek word for “end”. However, the two nuclei are still in a single cell. ![]() The chromosomes separate into two identical nuclei. In telophase, the nuclei at each pole form again. non-kinetochore spindle fibers lengthen, elongating the cell.sister chromatids (now called chromosomes) pull toward opposite poles.cohesin proteins binding the sister chromatids together break down.By the end of anaphase, each pole of the cell contains an identical set of chromosomes. The nonkinetochore spindle fibers from one pole also push on the other pole, which causes cell elongation. The connected sister chromatids, now called chromosomes, pull toward opposite poles and cause the chromosomes to split. each sister chromatid is attached to a spindle fiber originating from opposite polesĭuring anaphase, proteins that bind the sister chromatids together break down.chromosomes line up at the metaphase plate.mitotic spindle is fully developed, and centrosomes are at opposite poles of the cell. The centromeres attach to the spindle fibers originating at opposite poles. Metaphase is so named because the chromosomes line up in the middle of the cell. spindle fibers emerge from the centrosomes.chromosomes condense and become visible.“Pro-” means “before ” “phase” means “stage.” So, this is the stage before the process gets into full swing. The nuclear envelope starts to disintegrate, mitotic spindle begins to assemble, and centriole pairs move toward opposite poles of the cell. A centromere connects each chromatid to its copy, making the linked pairs look like X’s. Mitosis begins in prophase, where the chromosome condenses into chromatids. The two daughter cells will each have the same genetic code. ![]() Then the cell membrane can split the cytoplasm and organelles (termed cytokinesis). The events of mitosis describe the processes of splitting and moving nuclear DNA to opposite ends of the parent cell, where the nuclear membranes will reform. The DNA needs to be free from the nucleus so it can evenly distribute to two daughter cells. Remember that the DNA is in the nucleus, which is surrounded by the nuclear membrane. By observing the chromosome, one can identify the mitotic process. ![]() The stages of mitosis occur in sequence with specific events in each one. Mitosis steps consist of prophase, metaphase, anaphase, and telophase the cell undergoes nucleus division and split into two identical daughter cells. ![]() In this blog, we are going to discuss trim tab actuators and flap actuators.
